Rum

All rum is the product of sugar cane, which is why it has some character that may seem like sweetness. Rum starts with the cane pressed to remove excess water and either fermented immediately or boiled to create a molasses byproduct, from which most rum is made.

White Rum – clear, lighter bodied, often aged very briefly and filtered

Dark Rum – aged for longer periods of time, with darker, fuller flavors

Spiced Rum – a distilled rum that’s been flavored with spices
